Anger Inventory

The following inventory can help you in the recognition process as you seek to determine whether your anger is reaching a destructive level in your life.

1. I become impatient easily when things do not go my way.

2. I tend to have critical thoughts towards others who do not agree with me.

3. When I am displeased with someone I may shut them down or withdraw.

4. I get annoyed when friends or family are not sensitive to my needs.

5. I feel frustrated when I see someone having an easier time than me.

6. Whenever I am responsible for planning I get scared and flighty.

7. I get loud and more assertive when talking about some subjects.

8. I can accept a person who admits they have a problem, but have a problem admitting that I have one.

9. I do not easily forget when someone does me wrong.

10. When confronted with an opinion I get frustrated.

11. I get aggressive when playing a game for fun.

12. I struggle emotionally with things in life that don't go my way.

13. Although I know it's not right, I sometimes blame others for my problems.

14. More often than not I use sarcasm to get at people.

15. I may act kindly toward others on the outside, yet feel bitter and frustrated on the inside.

There are 15 statements here. Checking 4-8 of them, your anger is more of a problem than you realize. Checking 9 or more, there is probably a need for Celebrate Recovery.
