As many of you know, the Womble family in Niger, are in need of our prayers and God is providing for them. All of this “just happened” to be at break in school for Brady, and they are able to get to the market near the French school where Brady goes. Of course he will most likely be out of school until the French return to their embassy. We here in the states do not know anything of this type persecution and danger, but the bible has one particular story that describes the work God can do with a life devoted to Him. In Daniel chapter 6 God does a work in the life of Darius the king through the persecution and danger Daniel endured in his life. Darius decreed to all the land in verse 26…” I make a decree in all the dominion of my kingdom men are to fear and tremble before the God of Daniel; For He is the Living God and enduring forever, and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed, and His dominion will be forever. He delivers and rescues and performs signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, who has also delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.” Why do we stand alone and afraid? We have as our Father, this wonderful loving Savior, who does not want our deeds” but our devotion. Our love of Him will never go unnoticed and will change all those around us. Brad and Sally will write about this difficult time, as one of God’s provision and greatness as they trusted in Him alone. What are you struggling with? What are your “lions”? What have you faced that people have seen you depend on God alone for? He is our only hope, and only strength and people must see us trust Him when all hope seems lost. Today we hide our struggles, we put on our masks, we cover up the work of God, because we are ashamed. Are we really ashamed of the greatest gift ever given? Of His wonderful grace and how he has made us to love and be like Him? We can learn from Brad and Sally, and from Daniel, and king Darius. People are changed when they see what God is, and what He has done in our lives, NOT when we hide the work of His wonderful grace! Take off the masks so people can see who we really are, and what He has done, so they too will stand, like Darius, amazed at our awesome God! God just placed this in my heart, and I will bust unless I share it so it had to be. Hope this helped in your walk with him today.
